Abstract

High-Performance Computing (HPC) is a current topic that demands adequate infrastructure for teaching in undergraduate courses. However, not all educational institutions have the financial resources to provide computational structures dedicated exclusively to teaching HPC topics. This work presents an infrastructure to support HPC teaching built using computers destined for disposal. The use of such computers originally intended for disposal also helped convey principles of Green IT.
