Composite indicators, Climate risk, Strategic sectorsAbstract
Climate change is already affecting all regions of the Earth in multiple ways, including more frequent wildfires, longer dry seasons, as well as an increase in the number, duration, and intensity of heavy rainfalls. In this context, AdaptaBrasil MCTI platform consolidates, integrates, and disseminates information on climate change impacts in Brazil in a centralized and easily accessible manner. It presents current and projected impacts on the 5,570 Brazilian municipalities. The risk assessments are aggregated into strategic sectors such as food, energy, and water security. Such information can help several sectors of the society to elaborate actions to adapt to climate change impacts.
