It is believed that in the near future autonomous vehicles will be present in different everyday scenarios, performing different functions and activities with high social, environmental, and economic impact. This class of vehicles has numerous advantages such as low operating costs, precision in their tasks, performance in unhealthy or unsuitable places for humans, and being able to carry out uninterrupted actions for a long time. In this work we present the FBoat, which is an autonomous sailboat capable of carrying out environmental monitoring.
