4.0 Industry: possibilities for the development of the computing innovation ecosystem in Brazil

This paper reports a successful cooperation experience between industry and academia to provide the foundations for adopting Industry 4.0 practices by local companies. Furthermore, it presents a framework created based on collaboration between universities and companies to promote the training of professionals capable of working in Industry 4.0 and using a series of so-called “enabling” technologies in intelligent manufacturing processes.
