The paper reports the experience of cooperation between the Bridge Laboratory, linked to the UFSC Technological Center, and the Ministry of Health to implement one of the world's most significant health digitalization strategies. Through this collaboration, several processes were computerized and provided a considerable gain in scale in the management of the SUS, one of the largest public health systems in the world, resulting in the digitalization of the medical records of the population served by the system, through the adoption of aligned solutions including the most remote regions of the country. The Bridge Laboratory was also responsible for implementing the registration system for health professionals and volunteers who worked on the front lines of the fight against the pandemic.
