This paper describes the successful Research, Development, and Innovation (RD&I) Program of the National Teaching and Research Network (RNP). It reports how RNP, since 2002, through the creation of working groups, started the Program aimed at prospecting innovative technologies. It reports how the program's improvements over the years allowed the inclusion of excellent foreign institutions in cooperation with national partners and encouraged the participation of startups in projects. According to the authors, constantly monitoring projects and analyzing innovation potentials were essential to obtaining favorable results, such as developing new solutions and services now offered to the scientific community.
