Abstract

A software system is built with different components created by different suppliers, each with its own level of development maturity. The security of these systems, especially in the era of Generative Artificial Intelligence and cloud computing, demands new teaching approaches. Understanding cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), shared responsibility, standards (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 15408), and vulnerability catalogs, among others, is essential. Teaching cybersecurity makes comprehending each of these aspects a new academic challenge that requires curriculum adaptations and the use of new educational platforms for classrooms and labs that truly prepare professionals for an ever-evolving market.
