The sophistication of cybercriminals' actions has made cybersecurity compliance an increasingly important topic on corporate boards and in annual reports. Critical to all sectors, cybersecurity requires multidisciplinary teams and transparent protocols to address technical, governance, and educational challenges. Artificial intelligence has exacerbated security weaknesses, requiring the validation of identities to reduce risk. The growing concern about cybersecurity is reflected in regulations such as LGPD and PNCiber. At the same time, the cybersecurity culture must be proactive and responsive to be effective. Addressing cybersecurity requires international cooperation, given the transnational nature of cyberspace. Other challenges include addressing ethics and privacy by design as a system requirement.
