Abstract

The Brazilian Judiciary is undergoing an accelerated digital transformation, with more than 80 million cases processed electronically. The growing adoption of generative artificial intelligence in judicial activity, while promising in terms of efficiency, poses significant risks to fundamental rights — from data leakage to discriminatory biases and degradation of human reasoning capacity. CNJ Resolution No. 615/2024 establishes a robust regulatory framework that seeks to balance technological innovation and procedural guarantees, positioning information technology professionals as strategic actors in this transition and demanding new interdisciplinary competencies between Law and IT.
