All articles published by JSERD are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication, without subscription charges or registration barriers. We believe the adopted policy brings greater visibility to published articles by eliminating economic and geographic barriers and making them available to a broad, global audience.

Publication Ethics and Integrity

The Journal of Software Engineering Research and Development (JSERD) is committed to maintaining high standards of publication ethics, scientific integrity, transparency, and fairness.

As a journal published by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC), JSERD follows the ethical principles established in the SBC Code of Conduct for Publications.

The SBC Code of Conduct addresses publication integrity, including plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate or simultaneous submissions, and the handling of ethical violations.

JSERD also establishes editorial requirements concerning authorship, originality, peer review, conflicts of interest, and the responsible use of generative artificial intelligence, as described in its Author Guidelines.

Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to comply with the applicable institutional and journal-specific ethical requirements.
