Abstract

Open innovation in mining is a global trend and an important mechanism for companies to remain competitive and relevant in a dynamic and complex environment. In this context, the Mining Hub positions itself as a relevant player, bringing together a collaborative ecosystem that leads cultural transformation and drives innovation in the mining sector. In just over 6 years of existence, more than 120 proofs of concept have been executed at the hub, but the transition to scale still faces significant bottlenecks. This article, through a case study, analyzes the main challenges faced by startups supported by the Mining Hub in scaling their solutions and compares the information with literature, generating important insights for professionals in the sector and researchers.
