Innovation Transforming Territories: The UFPE Science and Technology Park and the Emergence of an Urban Innovation District in Recife’s Western Zone, Brazil

Located in the Western Zone of Recife, the Science and Technology Park of UFPE (Parque TeC UFPE) has been consolidating itself as a hub for scientific and technological initiatives, working in collaboration with various Science and Technology Institutions (STIs) to structure an Urban Innovation District. This report aims to share the collaborative practices being developed to establish this territory as an ecosystem focused on promoting open innovation, especially in deep science-based sectors (deep techs), through strategic partnerships between neighboring STIs and their respective innovation environments.
