Vale dos Trilhos Ecosystem: a report on fostering innovation in Ponta Grossa

Abstract

This case report aims to describe the process of structuring and consolidating the Vale dos Trilhos as an innovation ecosystem in Ponta Grossa. The initiative responds to the need to systemically articulate the various local innovation actors, fostering a collaborative, resilient, and territorially rooted environment. In this context, the implementation of Creative Learning Laboratories (LACs) in municipal schools stands out as an innovative strategy to promote digital inclusion and reduce inequalities from early childhood. With 54 environments established, the LACs provide equipped spaces for the development of skills such as digital literacy, computational thinking, maker culture, robotics, and applied creativity. The Vale dos Trilhos serves as a driver of sustainable development, connecting public policies, entrepreneurial initiatives, and innovative solutions to the real needs of the local community.
