Mudanças Climáticas e Tecnologias Digitais: A Participação da SBC nos Esforços Internacionais da IFIP

Responding to a call from the United Nations, which, in its Sustainable Development Goal number 13, establishes urgent measures to combat climate change and its impacts on society, the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) has created a new task force to identify the main challenges and opportunities of using digital technologies to address climate change and its impacts. The SBC has been invited to lead this task force, among other reasons, due to the publication of the manifesto titled "Digital Technologies for the Environment", approved at the SBC's general assembly in August 2022. This article describes the motivations and objectives of this task force.
