Open science seeks to make the artifacts and results of scientific research accessible to society, promoting greater transparency, reproducibility, and integrity in the production of knowledge. In this article, we focus on reproducibility in Computing research, highlighting the importance of scientific papers and editorial policies that require the availability of research artifacts. Furthermore, we emphasize that recognition mechanisms that value researchers' efforts, such as badges and awards, as well as training initiatives that disseminate good open science practices, are also indispensable. We describe the 1st SOL Open Science Forum, organized by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) during CSBC 2026, which brought the community together around this theme and marked the first edition of the SOL Reproducibility Award, created in partnership with the Brazilian Reproducibility Network.
