An Applied Approach to Artificial Intelligence in Decision Making in Fixed Income Investments

Digital transformation is revolutionizing financial markets, particularly in automating investment decisions. This paper proposes an applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) approach for selecting fixed-income investments. The model uses a database of fixed-income securities sourced from the Investidor 10 website and considers multiple criteria such as bond type, risk, net return, yield type (including hybrid), and redemption period. The system, developed in Python with fine-tuning of the ChatGPT API, generates justified recommendations in natural language. Results demonstrate a high agreement rate with human experts (92%), a drastic reduction in analysis time (from minutes to seconds), and significant scalability gains, validating AI as an efficient and Explainable (XAI) tool for financial decision support.
