Abstract

Educational Process Mining aims to model the students’ learning process in online courses and represent them as business processes. This representation has the potential to help teachers and educational managers in understanding the dynamics of learning and in the early identification of behaviors that may lead to dropout, among other bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities. In this article, we present a brief introduction to this field of research based on a guiding methodology and its activities.
