Analysis of the use of microcontrollers as a support tool for teaching and learning Computer Architecture

This work aims to present a systematic analysis of the use of microcontrollers as learning support tools in Computer Architecture (or equivalent subjects) at universities in the southern region of the country. To conduct the research, a questionnaire was sent to the course coordinators of these universities, targeting professors who teach these subjects in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering programs. After collecting the data, an analysis was performed to identify the incidence and application of microcontrollers by educators in these courses. The outcome of this analysis of the use of these support tools for this important curriculum component can be cited as the main contribution of this work, as no similar study was found at the regional or even national level.
