Abstract

This study presents a real-time monitoring system to support wildfire management in the Caatinga biome, Brazil. The system integrates IoT sensor data, satellite imagery, and climate APIs, providing updated and centralized information to firefighting teams. Based on Systems Theory, it offers advanced tools for tracking, weather forecasting, and strategic planning, enhancing fire response. Implemented in a regional brigade, the system was evaluated using quantitative and qualitative metrics, showing improvements in situational awareness and resource management. The solution strengthens prevention and firefighting efforts, optimizing resources and enhancing emergency actions in the semi-arid region.
