Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • A cover letter in PDF format has been written and attached with the template provided by RBIE.
  • The contribution is original and never published before, and it’s not being evaluated for publishing elsewhere (e.g., another journal or conference/workshop); otherwise, it must be justified in the “Comments to the Editor”.
  • The submission file is in PDF format.
  • URL for references were provided when possible.
  • The text follows the instructions (including manuscript primary language, number of pages, structure and template with style patterns and bibliographic requirements) described in this webpage.
  • It is a complete scientific work (it follows a scientific method and presents research contributions as results).
  • The authorship identification was fully removed from the archive (authors names and filiations, names in the header, file properties and any other information that may identify the authors), thus ensuring the confidentiality in case it should be submitted to pairs’ evaluation (e.g., articles). This information must be added only on the final version of the manuscript, after the acceptance of the article to publication.
  • The submission (and publication in case of acceptance) of the manuscript in RBIE is approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out.
  • All authors have an ORCID number.
  • The conducted research takes into consideration the ethical issues set out in the journal's guidelines for authors.
  • Inclusion of the CRediT statement in the cover letter.
