RBIE's new article template (rbie2026)

RBIE has updated its article template and standardized the journal's pages to reinforce the good practices promoted by SBC and to improve the accessibility of its publications.

Important notice

As of 15 Sep 2026, only submissions using the new template (rbie2026) will be accepted. Before that date, both the new and the previous templates may be used; we recommend adopting the new template right away.

What is changing
  • New rbie2026 template, in LaTeX (compiled with XeLaTeX or LuaLaTeX), designed to update SBC's good practices and improve accessibility (including an accessible PDF).
  • CC BY 4.0 license for published articles.
  • Trilingual abstract (Portuguese, English, and Spanish) and mandatory use of ORCID.
  • Mandatory declarations: author contributions (CRediT), conflicts of interest, data availability, and use of artificial intelligence, in accordance with the SBC Code of Conduct.
  • Recommended length of 10 to 20 pages.
How to adopt the new template

The template can be used on Overleaf (by uploading the files) or in any LaTeX editor. Full instructions — where to obtain the template, how to choose the correct file for each language and prepare the cover letter, plus PDF examples and a video tutorial — are available on the Author Guidelines page.

Updated pages

The Author Guidelines have been updated to reflect the new template. In addition, RBIE's pages have been revised, standardizing information and improving accessibility.
