Abstract

This paper presents a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) that aims to identify the existence of studies that use Maker Culture as a proposal to develop reading and writing skills in the Early Years of Elementary School. To this end, the PICOC strategy was used, and 5 research questions related to the RSL context were formulated. The RSL was based on the protocol proposed by Kitchenham and on the PRISMA methodology, starting from a total of 1271 (30 selected and 5 analyzed) articles found in the following databases: CEIE, Scopus, IEEE, ACM DL, and ScienceDirect. The results indicate that there is a lack of studies that show the use of Maker Culture in the mentioned context. However, it is noteworthy that, despite the fact that most of the studies analyzed do not present Maker Culture as a primary theme, the articles point out that reading and writing practices are being developed and related to work with computational thinking, creation of digital stories, Game Design, robotics and Artificial Intelligence, areas that also provide learning based on doing and centered on the student.
